The People's Earth Month: The Comedy Show to Save the Planet
According to our country’s leadership, the best way to fight climate change is to simply not believe in it. Not a crisis, not a threat, just vibes. And with the repeal of the 2009 greenhouse gas endangerment finding, the largest deregulation in U.S. history, we’ve officially entered the “what fire?” stage of the fire.
Grassroots Comedy and Climate Defiance have seen enough, so we’re teaming up in San Francisco on April 28 for The Comedy Show to Save The Planet. It’s a night where comedy meets real action, with proceeds supporting Climate Defiance’s people-powered fight for urgent climate accountability.
Featuring Laura Franzese (SF Sketchfest), Chris Blackwood (Grassroots Comedy founder), Davidson Boswell (The New Yorker, MTV), Chelsea Bearce (Cobb’s Comedy Club), Sam Medina (San Francisco Punch Line), Athena Rodriguez (The Setup), and special guest Saikat Chakrabarti, former Chief of Staff to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and current congressional candidate.
If they’re going to pretend everything’s fine, we might as well show up, laugh, and actually do something about it.
